MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

and a happy NEW YEAR!

Sunday, December 10, 2006

hey, yea well it's been a pretty eventfull week.

Wednesday - we went to the Louisville for the Gator tournament.  we got down there and saw "dejavo" (sp?) which is awesome by the way.  ate dinner and met up with the guys at the hotel.

Thursday - the jv's first game was put against the gators, and as we are getting ready i realize that i left my b-ball shoes back in Bowling Green.  well thankfully i remebered that Mitchell and i were the same shoe size and he let me borrow them.  so i put them on and sliped my "theraputic" insols (sp?) and played my best game ever.  we won the game, but when i got back to the hotel i took off my socks to see that my feet were bruised and blistered so bad (from the insols) that the coach said he never saw feet like that before.

Friday - we had our game playing for first and second coming up, and i spent most of the day trying basically everything i could think of to help my feet.  well my dad drove up and was able to give me my shoes, so finally i bandaged and taped my feet and played a whole game that we did eventually loose.  now here is where our story starts to go really bad.  the varsity played after us and they lost too but after the game Johnny, one of our key players, started throwing up and ran outside when he came in he layed down for a sermon.  then when it was over and we went to change, johnny passed out and lost conscienceness, we called an ambulence and he was taken to the hospital were we waited for a couple of hours.  he was eventually realesed and was able to go home.  we all drove home that night, but my night wasn't over yet.  as we're driving home my mom tells me that my brother got a call from his missionary team leader (that morning) that one of the girls on joey's team was overseas when her appendix burst, she was taken to a hospital were she would go into surgery and durring surgery one of her arteries was cut and hours later she passed away.  the sadest part is that her family wasn't able to be there.

so now i need you guys to start praying for: my feet to heel because i have construction work and right now it hurts to walk, Johnny to heal soon, and for the family of the girl.

hey guys, well it's been a while since i posted.  so the karate class at the co-op is going good, so are the guitar lessons, and b-ball is good, and i can't remember the other thing that i wanted to say.  oh and i was looking at some quotes about "life" and thought that you guys might like them.

-not a shred of evidence exist in favor of the idea that life is serious - Gill

-life is a foreign language; all men mispronounce it - Morley

-the purpose of life is to fight maturity - Werthimer

-life is something that happens when you can't get to sleep - Lebowitz

-life is pleasant. death is peaceful. it's the transition that's troublesome - Asimov

-life is far to important a thing to ever talk seriously about - Wilde

-the supreme irony of life is that hardly anyone gets out of it alive - Heinlein

-life is a moderately good play with a badly written third act - Capote

-life isn't fair. it's just fairer than death, that's all - Goldman

well hope you enjoyed.  out of curiousity which did you enjoy best?

PS - please be praying for my back, it's been acting up again. thanks
